A Part of Zain Uganda’s Build Our Nation Education Campaign
Army Boarding Primary School is a boarding school that gives support on military’s children and orphans as well. The boarding school falls on two ministries: the Sports and Education and Defense Mechanics. The school holds 858 girls and 953 boys, which are also receiving gifts from some charitable institutions. These young children were also depending a lot on the welfare and support of the school to keep them going. This had given the school big responsibility to carry all the children in its hands from which they operate educational entities and a welfare institution for the other children.
Just lately, Army Boarding School had just received a donation of 200 textbooks from Zain Uganda’s Build Our Nation Education Campaign. The books were given as Zain launched a 3rd phase with their campaign with which, over 80 schools across 80 districts of Uganda would also get the benefits of the scholastic materials.
Mr. Jonathan Musomoka, the headmaster for the Army Baording Primary School, noted that the school really needs textbooks and these 200 textbooks that they had received is indeed a great help. This may somehow encourage students to improve their learning culture somehow.
In every district, at least one school is being given the assorted textbooks particular to the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. From the start of launching the program in 2006, Zain Uganda’s Build Our Nation Education Campaign had already delivered 8,000 textbooks, which is worth of 380 Million shillings to 140 schools across the country in the phases of its program.
