“Leading Schools”: Association of Boarding Schools Conference

Leading Schools Session“Leading Schools” was the conference theme on the Association of Boarding Schools’ recent conference in Baltimore, Md. Four of the Darlington’s staff members gave presentations during this time.

An important and cost-effective way of marketing our school is by presenting the great things we’re doing at national and international conferences,” said Associate Headmaster Mark Carleton. “Folks come to our sessions, learn from what we’ve done, and then go back to implement singing our praises all the way. Also, the only way to get better in the idea business, which is what education really is all about, is to share your good ideas with others and then to receive input on them.”

Scholars, Servants, Leaders: Independent School Renaissance,” this is what Associate Headmaster Mark Carleton entitled the session, who is also been the co-presenter of the program. Among his co-staff are Reba Barnes and Tara Inman. During their session, they have shared and talked about opportunity on independent schools. That this kind of schools like boarding schools has to enhance students’ intellectual quality by intentionally deepening their moral purpose with programs focused on servant leadership.

Libbie Zimmer, director of Darlington’s Learning Center, was also been the one made the presentation at the Association of Boarding Schools’ conference. She conducted the session entitled “Learning Differences … by day and by night.” During this time she has extended explained through discussing ways and means to support and empower boarding students in both academic and residential environments.

Association of Boarding Schools’ is a great way upon enhancing the kind of tools they have as educators, students and as a person. They could extend to each association what are there strengths and try to cope up with their weaknesses. This is ended a great way of showing teamwork and appreciation.
