Boarding Schools as Hotels: Great Enough for Parents
Mostly, a student who gets a far distance from school suffers homesickness and doesn’t even feel comfortable being away from the family. Well, such of this situation is really hard for students and parents. Students who got a 5 days school could only be home in weekends and got to miss his family during school days. Schools are looking some means on how to solve this problem and definitely, as being pictured effective, schools might have turn to be like hotels.
Flexi-Boarding has now become popular with private schools. It allows students and parents who commute from far distance to use schools as hotels paying £25 a night several times a week. Other school like the Holmwood House Preparatory in Colchester, Essex allocates free beds by having a weekly draw to those who wanted to stay.
According to the Boarding School’s Association, there are more than 4 out of 10 students who live less than an our away from school with nearly three quarters from homes under an hour and a half’s drive away.
There are 67,000 boarders with the 1,272 registered UK schools in the Independent Schools Council and only 0.4 percent only had rise on the last year.
Head masters of several schools gave chances to busy working parents who still want to see their children by crediting the FLEXI-BOARDING. For them, hotel-style stays eliminate parent’s guilt upon sending their child into a boarding school.
The BSA chief executive, Hilary Moriarty says, “At the dinner table, when shocked mothers say, and ‘You didn’t send your child to boarding school did you?’; parents can say ‘yes, and I’ve seen them twice this week already’, Your conscience is perfectly clear.
